Hello!
Here are some more photos of the progress of Summer Solace. The final painting can be seen at www.amykayetaylor.com on both the Trees and Fields Paintings page and the Rural Riches page. I have to decide now which painting we will follow next. I have four in the studio with under paintings dried and ready for color. We shall find out Monday when I return. Have a great weekend!
Until next time...

Good Morning!
I know it's been a couple days since I last blogged. The camera I usually use to record my painting is temporarily out of commission until I find the battery charger! I think it is with my keys. Can't wait to find them both!! Anyway, I have been sketching lately. I got my pictures printed from my Hocking Hills trip and I have been sketching from them. Here is a design for a 48"h x 12"w canvas. I have projected the sketch onto the canvas so now I can start on the under painting. I'll keep you posted!

Good Morning!
I thought I would share a couple progress shots of my river scene. I do have a final look but it may be a day or two before I can get a good photo of it. The rainy days don't allow for proper lighting to take nice photos. Meanwhile, I'll keep on painting...
Until next time...

Good Morning!
I am pleased to share some nice progress on the new river scene we are following. I was able to capture the rest of the background trees and the river this weekend. Today, I hope to get most of the rest of the foliage finished in the front.
Until next time...

Now we are following a new river scene. We are only seeing a small fragment of the whole painting. It is actually 60" tall and 36" wide. I will be working on more trees today.

Hello!
If you've arrived here from my Taylor Times, thank you for stopping by and welcome! Yesterday, we followed the first two phases of color for this painting called "Across the River." Here is the final two phases including the finished painting. I love the reflection of the fallen log in this piece. I called this "Across the River" because I couldn't help thinking how many ways there are to cross here depending on what kind of creature you are. Enjoy! I am starting a new river view today. I will be sure to record it's progress as I go as well.
Until next time...

Hello!
We are following a new painting now. It is the same bridge we followed earlier but a slightly different view. This piece is 36" tall and 18" wide. By the time I am finished here, I should know this patch of river fairly well!
Until next time...

Well, I'm not quite sure why, but my photo is publishing sideways today. I wonder if later I can get it to straighten out! In any case, here is the final look at "Over the River." If you remember from my under paintings I have another view of this bridge started. We shall follow it next!
